Somewhere between my travels in DC and Baltimore I found myself lost in the ghetto, with a dead GPS and in desperate need of gas. Staying open minded I pushed on, hoping to fill up and keeps moving forward in search of a new place to explore.
As I turned into a gas station, a graffiti covered building peered over a hill. I could see old stacks, signifying that whatever that abandoned building was surely had been used for industry at one point in time. I quickly filled my car and snuck off to find myself at Pemco.
Though the company itself is still open, their old facility sat vacant. I quietly crept through each building, finding them picked over, yet still photogenic.
I was happy with my photos from this location, and although I don’t see myself doing a return visit, I definitely won’t forget this day.
